Around and About

Why not take a gentle evening stroll along the edge of the woods to one of the two fine restaurants and enjoy the excellent local cuisine. Both are less than 10 minutes walk. There is also a highly recommended restaurant - el Almoradux - hidden in the woods within 5 minutes reach by car (directions provided in the house).

Just 15 minutes drive away, is the colourful village of El Rocio (The Dew), famous for its heavy dew, beautiful lake, imposing cathedral and Spain's largest annual religious pilgrimage. Over 1 million people make the pilgrimage by horse and converge in spring to worship and celebrate the "Lady of the Dew". With its wide streets of sand and hitching posts in front of every house, El Rocio looks more like a Wild West film set. Driving through it is a challenge, you may prefer to take a traditional horse-drawn carriage and enjoy a trip through this wonderful 13th century village.

The beautiful and historic city of Seville is only 35 minutes and 45 km away.
